Okay for those dissing Windows 7, Let me just put the following out there. I like to take my processor to the limits using Dry Ice and about a week or two back I did just that while running Windows 10. Below I am going to add two comparisons one having run 3DMark Vantage, the second having run 3DMark11. With one result you'll see the processor having been clocked at 4.5ghz and the other result the processor having being clocked 5Ghz, clearly the 5Ghz while under Dry Ice. Interestingly look at the 3DMark11 cpu Physics difference with the processor running 500mhz lower.
In safety terms, i rather not search around for distros or updates, imo. You never know if exploit can be injected somewhere along the chain. Better and more convenient to trust in MS. Besides with 2FA becoming a standard, we are also at mercy of Google and Apple ecosystem.
Until some Chinese megatech cone and free us more. Huawei or Tencent or Baba ecosystems when?
There are certain Uploaders who are 100% Trustworthy. It's also pretty darn easy to figure out if crap has been inserted into an ISO. Definitely NOT more convenient to trust in MS LMAO!!! MS cant even get the regular updates done correctly and had to go back and cancel them on numerous occasions and fix the problems that they caused. I remember one of their Major Updates that came out a year or so ago that caused numerous Win10 machines to crash. They had to Back track, completely redo the update and delayed it until a month later.
You can actually "stop"(pause) Win10 Home/Pro from updating.
Or I could just continue not using it and not have to worry about it at all. And when I want to update on my schedule, it's as easy as opening a terminal window and typing "sudo dnf update"
and then a "y" after I've read through the suggested updates(because it's Linux, so you can update literally every program on the system no matter the source with one command, or you can pick and choose).
I calculated the odds of this succeeding versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid... and I went ahead anyway.
If it's not coming out for the PC, it's dead to me.
