Apparently there's some silicone lottery involved or it's just Kingston problem, I have seen even Hynix doing 3800MHz with CL 16

I run Flare 2400 and Flare 3200 for 32Gb total @ 2866. Yes the bench says it is better with just the 3200 RAM. I was able to find settings both sets of RAM were happy with. No they are Samsung (3200) and Hynix (2400)
It does not run faster with 32Gb as far as bench marks go. But it does seem to run better.
So me thinking is Zen 3 may also end up to be happier with more than 16GB RAM + able to do more Mhz with RAM.
BUT DDR 5 most likely will be painful for the wallet and cause a lot of hair loss.

Primary: Crossover 27" 2560 x 1440, Crosshair VI, Ryzen 1600, Flair 2400, GTX 690. Secondary: MSI 890FX GD-70 R 2.0, FX-8350, HD 7790, Kingston 8 GB x 2, Western 1Tb hybrid, VisionTek 1000

I read in some article that Ryzen 4000 will have IF clocked at 2000Mhz.

Yes. I'm holding on an R5 3600 just to upgrade it to an R9 4950X as soon as it drops. I don't think DDR5 is worth it until it matures. Chances are the first-gen or two DDR5 will be similar in performance with high-end DDR5 at a premium cost with little to no gains in real-world use including gaming performance.
