I am thinking it is most likely the Board and not the chip. Just seems that the board is more likely to die than the CPU.

He has that blue username without any rank. I assume that means he's been banned, no? Or at least set as miserable user.

No. he's busy raging on hardocp's hardforum about the 10980XE under a new name (starts with an O or something). There's something very wrong with that "adult."

wait wooooot? maybe he deactivated it? none of his current behavior (at least in thread) warranted banning by current mod staff.

How much voltage were you pumping through the CPU?
If you haven't got a spare mobo just pay a shop to test your CPU. Can only be mobo or CPU.

I like to have fun.

A0 my SSD has problem. Last night used another HDD and managed to boot windows instantly.

So, may be pcie slot-2 has no problem? or has been damaged by the Optane 900p.

Anyway, just reporting to close these error code not necessary indicate the exact thing, mystery.

Two people with dead AMD CPUs in this thread? Doesn't surprise me. After having mined digital $hitcoins before, I noticed AMD GPUs were WAY WAY more fragile than Nvidia ones. I don't think it's a foundry issue, I just think AMD ships products mostly maxed out compared to both Intel and Nvidia that leave far more overhead for reliability. AMD was suffering in performance which is why they started doing this to try and compete IMO. But I think Intel's 10nm CPUs will be in the same boat.

AMD's hardware is top notch actually. Their software is really bad, though.

I think Turing death was from bad Micron ram, so it's kind of a secondary supplier issue and not actually directly Nvidia GPUs there. Over the years seems like all RAM except Samsung sucks, with maybe Hynix coming in second and everything else being a race to the bottom? Stuff like Elpida and Crucial/Micron always seem to suck. And hilariously, Micron buys Elpida LOL.
