CPU-Z runs on the weakest Core

Hey,

not sure where else to post it but CPU-Z benchmarking is basically impossible on my 3800x because CPU-Z schedules it on my weakest Core/Thread (Core 0 Thread 0).

Is there a way to change it? Some .ini file or whatever?

Thanks.

In that case I would be asking the developers at CPUID,May be they have the answer.
Other than that I would use other benchmark tools. And just use CPUZ as a reference tool.

set affinity so it only uses the core/threads you set?

Yeah, i tried this before too but it still runs on C0/T0. Should have clarified at the start i guess but made the post out of frustration in a hurry.

Wrote CPUID an Email via their contact form but not sure if it worked, there was no sent confirmation or anything.

sometimes you need to restart the service before it pays attention to affinity but task manager doesn't let you apply affinity permanantly to processes (AFAIK)

you can try something like Process Lasso, that will apply it every time the service starts.

https://bitsum.com/

seems a bit overly convoluted just to run a CPU-Z bench though, lol.

ok, so I messed around with this some, and learned that when you hit benchmark or stress, it resets the affinity back to all. The stress test doesnt give you much time to make changes and it wouldnt be accurate, but if you hit stress, and while its running, go change the affinity, it lets you, and according to task manager, it really does change it to any core you set. But I was getting some weird results.
