RGB not allowing Ryzen CPU to enter idle voltage state?

Seems like whenever I have Asus aura sync on, it tends to keep my cpu at 1.44v even when I'm idling at desktop. Very rarely does it drop to an idle of 0.88v.

If I disable the rgb lights however, my vcore will drop and generally stay at 0.88v. Does anybody else notice this behavior?

Let me introduced you to the Aquacomputer OCTO, driven by Aquasuite. The uncontested singular best piece of software in PC peripheral monitoring. Aqua Suite + HWinfo/HWMonitor = all you could possibly ever need.

it does it all. LEDs, fans, pumps, curves, temps, flow, and it does it all in one piece of software that'll forever and always blow the big box solutions outta the water (including component manufacturer solutions)

Add me on Steam, same name
R.I.P. Zawarudo, may you OC angels' wings in heaven.
