Yeah, They make their products and prices at points where they are not only affordable, but perform very well. Intel, On the other hand, has Rich Fanboys in the clutch of their hand, just waiting to buy a $1000 CPU.

not only that, they also have the friends that buy $400 dollar motherboards to suit that 1000 dollar piece of rma

6-core PHII is coming (maby just for servers i'm not sure)

followed by the microarchitecture codenamed "bulldozer" it should be on 32nm fab.

I will point out however AMD Phenom II 940BE does beat a core i7 920 @ High res gaming usually 1600x1200 or above.

SuperPI is cache dependent... and well Intel has more cache.

Maybe I can come over to your house and we can play some SuperPi? Then later one we can set up a LAN any play 3D Mark Vantage?

Synthetic Benchmarks my friend, Unless your trying to tell me you would pay $1000 to get a high SuperPI Score?
