Biostar have announced PCIE GEN4 support for their B450/X470 boards.

Just perfect that a BIOS comes out the day after I rebuilt my PC with another board and a Ryzen 3800X.

The new BIOS is X47AG718 with AGESA ComboAM4 PI1.0.0.3AB (beta)

I still have my Ryzen 1700 @ Biostar board around but no memory to test this it out with(MEM in the main system), I'm completely occupied into the new board and it's features for now. Though it would be fun to test the 3rd gen Ryzen on the board as well at some time I fancy.

The same memory could boot 4000Mhz+ @ 1.200V on the 3800X and X570 motherboard that only barely did 3200Mhz on this Biostar X470GT8. 3333Mhz wasn't stable in the end.

NEWEST: Gigabyte X570 AORUS XTREME, Ryzen 7 3800X 4.4Ghz, 3800/1900 1:1 MEM, 16.23.17.32.66.tRFC 580 1T 1.45V
4x8Gb Kingston HX434C19FB2K2/16 3466C19 1.2V (Micron E-die 16nm)
OLD: Biostar x470GT8 Ryzen 7 1700 @ ~4.0Ghz CPU, 3200Mhz RAM ...

Hi

Thanks for sharing your experience with the x470gt8. For me the killing feature of that board is to be able to use your "old" cooling system (I have a zalman reserator 3 MAX), this is saving me some money I can spend in other parts, and if this thing can cool my old FX cpu, I'm sure It can cool whatever ryzen I put on It because Ryzen is more power efficient (my FX consumes 125W).

Apart from that, I have here a 3200Mhz kit from Ballistix (crucial - micron), and It's nice to read that I could be able to run It at almost max speed... when using two of them. I really doubt I can get the 3200Mhz when running four of them, although mines are single rank (usually provides better result), let's see as I have them and I have no motherboard where to try them.

The hardware is impressive, It's even an intel NIC included, really hard to see nowadays where everyone install these cheap realtek solutions. Here I can find It for 177€ (I'm living in Europe, alternate has It at that price), I want to give It a try...
