ASUS rog strix x299 e does not detect bootable usb

I am trying to install Ubuntu from a bootable USB, but the motherboard "ASUS rog strix x299 e" does not boot from it. I see the usb listed as an option in the bios, i have made it the first boot option priority, i have enabled CSM, disabled secure boot but when i restart the system it never shows up. What can i do to solve this problem?

Also, if it helps, i made the bootable usb from LinuxLiveUsb tool for windows, and the USB is detected in windows perfectly.

Thanks

On mine Iv always just gone into bios. Then selected select boot device. Has to be in the blue USB ports not the red one on the back.

Solved

Tried the blue one, did not work.

Edit: Tried making a bootable usb as UEFI, worked.
