X570 chipset... they can do a passive heatsink, those boards are rare but it costs more than slapping a $1 40mm fan on the designer useless heatsink instead. Hey at least some soldered the fan to mobo so you can't always easily replace it when it starts rattling just like any other small cheap fan ever made.

I know some reviews say the fans are passive and only start spinning fans under heavy M.2 PCIe 4 load or RAID of it etc. but the temperatures reported here by users aren't exactly cold either. Maybe in upcoming years with next chipset AMD will admit to what went wrong with the X570, and there has already been the ASMedia vs AMD thing with X570 wasn't there, ASM making B550 now (to be launched who knows when... autumn with no PCIe4) but they couldn't make X570 at least not in time for AMD. Something like that.

Mobo makers should make a chipsetless motherboard for Ryzen already, it's what most people need ports wise anyway.

It's nice to see mobo makers are now taking AMD more seriously and offer overloaded boards that almost no one will buy but they should not forget to make mobos for regular people who will spend $50-$150 on it not $250+. So in a way these expensive X570s are holding Ryzen back in adoption as people are essentially forced to get B450/X470 instead.

I think you are right. All that hot air is just swirling around inside the case. I notice his cpu temp is up there, too.

I tried all that already. Positive, negative air pressure. Nothing works because the PCH temp idles at 70-72°C. Just by running the heaven benchmark for 5min the temps rise to 75-76°C.
It's a ****ty case that covers it's flaws with it's look and design.

edit: is it possible that HWInfo is reading the temps wrong?

edit: No changes at all

Front fans at 1000rpm - does absolutely nothing
I have no idea what to do with this case anymore

Forget pressure and think about flow. Air has mass and inertia so does not like to change direction. Pull it in one side and push it out the other side. I have a no pressure case with good air flow. The cpu cooler fans are the case exhaust fans.

Yes, and back in the day you could replace those noisy annoying soon to fail fans with fanless tower coolers. No more. Let's just say I'm still waiting on B550. I wan't NONE of that motherboard fan junk again.

I remember getting a board (I think in the Athlon 64 era) that had a fan on it. It lasted for about a month and quit. I got one of those Zalman (I think that was the name of it) northbridge coolers and put it on. I wonder if there will be similar items in the future.

You can still buy a bunch of chipset coolers and water blocks, most of them are pretty dated looking tho.

nForce chipset ran hot and the fans back then where prone to fail. They might have been using sleeved baring.
