PLEASE READ IF THINKING ABOUT GEN4 SSD..

I cant promise this was a good or bad drive. I can say since trying the Sabrent Rocket 4 I had nothing but issues trying to get my system stable. It would crash every few minutes to a black screen or lock up. I reloaded the PC 3 times thinking maybe it was the OS. I am using build 1809 as I heard 1903 had problems. I tried everything but could never get this drive even remotely stable. I went and picked up a Samsung Evo Plus 1tb and since then I have not had a single issue. I think Gen 4 tech is too new to be jumping onto and expecting stability. I am sure it will be great sometime soon.. especially when Samsung puts a drive out.

Also, Dragon Center is a buggy piece of hardware. It is needed for the RGB options. I had to uninstall and reinstall the program to finally get it working... it w3as getting stuck waiting on SDK. Uninstall the APP if you run into this and uninstall SDK... then reinstall the APP. I really don't like how MSI setup this install for Dragon Center.. it just ends and you dont even know if it installed or not. No desktop icon or anything. One thing.. if it says waiting on SDK... walk off and give it time to do its thing.... mine is finally working. My only complaint is sometimes my ram doesnt follow the lighting profiles I setup. Right now one stick is dark and rest are lit.

I've had a pretty productive night.

- I got my computer settled into it's case (Phantex P6002, pr0n attached) this vastly improved my airflow and temp

- on Ryzen master had 4.25 going at 1.275 and my ram going at 3800 cl16 with fclk and Mclk at 1900 top score with that was 7435 (I forgot to get a screen grab, and only got one from the run before it at 7431, it's attached for timings)

- I tried bumping that 4.25 down to 1.268 but and it was promising but wasn't stable through repeated runs.

- Then plugged in my daily driver setting (4.2 at 1.244) and tried some 3600 CL 16 1800/1800 timings and beat that score with a 7454 (attached)

-rounded it out with my current daily driver which is the same [email protected] with my ram running XMP 3200 cl14 which I got a 7441 with. (no screen)

I'm happy with my performance boost from better airflow, but it seems like I don't get out of the same general range. That said I was comparing Ryzen Master 4.25/3800cl16 to BIOS set 4.2/3600cl16... I am done for tonight but I'll probably try to get that 4.25/3800cl16 set through bios tomorrow and see if I can improve that result.

note (all best scores were out of runs of at least 10, the [email protected] crashed on it's 7th more or less consecutive run)

Hey guys, my new X570 ACE has a problem with DRAM voltage. Whenever I change it, it does nothing and the BIOS and HWInfo report 1.232V. Therefore, my RAM will fail to POST above 3200MHz. I have 32GB Crucial Ballistix 3600MHz CL16 (4x8GB) Micron E-Die, the XMP profile is 16-18-18-38 @ 1.35V but the required voltage is not applied. I have the latest BIOS 150 with AGESA ABBA, I have tried clearing the CMOS and flashing the older 140 BIOS to no avail. Has anyone else had this problem and any ideas what could be causing it?

System Specs: Videocard: Palit GTX 1080 Gamerock Premium

Not super expert, but if you've successfully changed BIOS and the problem persists it's probably a physical problem with one of the ram controllers on your board and you should RMA it or swap it out at the store if it's still within your return period.

Did you try with and with out XMP? When you do without do a manual entry on timings and voltage. I know mine with XMP is going to 1.4V and reports 1.42V. I am also on Bios 1.5. Have any screen shots of your voltage settings etc?

Anyone else have Dragon Center issues? I had to install it then uninstall it plus the SDK... then re-install both before it finally worked. Seems buggy. Overall the board has been very stable. Just wish I could get that C14 on my 3600mhz C14 ram... having to run C16 for stability.

What ram you have? I have Gskill FlareX DDR4 3200 CL14 which I am running DDR4 3800 CL16 with the 1900 FCLK and Infinity clock and 25000% stable under Karhu Memtest.

So how are people finding MSI? How do they compare to ASRock in terms of quality and usability? I keep seeing user comments that MSI is a bit behind on BIOS updates, but how true is this? I just saw the Unify announcement, and while I was previously sold on the X570 Taichi by ASRock, the complete lack of RGB has me swaying real hard toward MSI on this.

Not really true. The bios uodates are a few days later, but MSI has far fewer bioses that are problematic than Asus. The top4 motherboards for X57o have high quality vrms: Godlike, Creation, Ace, and the new Unify all have very good vrm and thermal performancr. The Unify is the newest board it will be available next week and at $299 has great thermals even better than the ACE due to a larger vrm heatsink.Performance wise these boards overclock both cpu and memory as well as both Asus and Gigabyte.
Here is my latest Cinebench 20 score with latest 1.5 bios on the ACE with latest chipset drivers:

Technology is NOT a liberator . Whom technology serves is a class question.
Technology wielded by the capitalist class benefits only the exploiters.
Technology wielded by the working class will serve ALL Humanity.

Its G.Skill NEO RGB 3600mhz C14... It would not run stable at C14 using XMP.. I now have it at 3733mhz at C16 and it's stable. I think I will just leave it there. Don't need things on the bleeding edge anyways.. Just ordered another one of these boards for my buddy to swap out his X470. Ever since we moved to 3900X on his board he has wierd GPU fan issues now. Started seeing some others saying hte same thing. I know my combo works well.. Everything has been super stable. The only issue I ran into was I had to install Dragon Center twice before it finally worked. I also had a TON of problems with the m.2 4.0 from Sabrent. The EVO Plus 1tb fixed that and what I saw from real world results the Gen 4 SSD aren't truly worth it yet. I will wait for Samsung to make one.. Really enjoying this board. Way better than my X470 Aorus gaming 7 and Asus CH7.
