At least MSI and Gigabyte have spotted the potential issues with that fan placement right from the get go. The only thing I regret about this Ace board, is no Thunderbolt support. I really wish MSI would support it, but alas I don't think it's going to happen considering they don't even produce the add-in card.

That's terrible. I'm glad you got it nice and quiet now. We'll see what the future brings.

Hi.. Guys..

I just received this board yesterday. It took time for me to get use to the BIOS GUI.
So far everything seem to be good but I ran into a small problem.

I tried to overclock my RAM from 3200MHz to 3400MHz 14-14-14-14-28-1T.
Everything is almost okay but I can't get 1T command to work.
Somehow it stuck at 2T command. I didn't have this problem with ASUS Crosshair VI Hero.
(overall memory latency is lower than when I used ASUS Crosshair VI Hero.)

I've already updated the latest BIOS v1.92.

I've already updated the latest BIOS v1.92.

BIOS v.1.92 is a Beta BIOS so that could very well be the case. As for the RAM overclocking you may have to either raise the voltage a hair or loosen up the timings. Although whatever you may have gained from the speed increase you may lose by making the timings looser. You already have fast RAM but you did not say what die it is so who knows if it even really would be able to hit 3400 at those timings.

Edit: I tried this BIOS and immediately flashed back to the v.1.8 BIOS as my RAM would no longer clock to 3800 and remain stable, it had been stable since the beginning of the year at that speed.

It's G.Skill Flare X 3200MHz 14-14-14-34 @ 1.35v.
Most properly it should be Samsung B-Die.

I think it should be the case you mentioned.

***UPDATE***

I managed to find the workaround to force my command rate to 1T by using AMD Ryzen Master.

On top of that it also helped me to disable 'Gear Down' which grayed out and set to 'Auto' in BIOS.

-----------------------------------------------------

One more question is..

Is there anyway to enable NVMe RAID in BIOS without enable SATA RAID at the same time?

I have very similar problem: after i flashed v.1.92, my stable memory overclock (3600 cl14) has been completely broken and it is still broken even after flashback to v.1.7 and v.1.8. I've tried multiple combinations of overclocking settings and reinstalled chipset drivers multiple times after flashing bios, but problem is still remains. I have random bsods after system boot even with XMP profile (3200 cl14), but there is no errors in memtest (360% scope).

Here's a quick underclock of my RAM. I was only able to hit 3733 1867 1:1:1 with my X570 Hero. I'm stable at XMP 3866MHz and I bumped it down to 3800 and 1900 1:1:1 (UCLK & FCLK). My Cinebench scores are a bit off from my old scores and my timings are a bit loose. I couldn't disable GearDown Mode and lower the CAS Latency to 17. My computer wouldn't start up. I may be stuck with what I have. I was testing stability with prime95 to make sure it was stable for hours on end. My latency is a bit lower, but my Read, Write, and Copy rates are lower than before as well. I'll have to mess around a bit more later and see what I can come up with. This is what I have for now.

Got my timings a bit tighter and better scores than I had before in Cinebench. AIDA64's score is higher than last time as well. It was a lot easier overclocking my RAM on this motherboard and easily stabilized. Just a slight bump in voltage to 1.37V and it's smooth as silk. Passes hours of prime95's torture testing. I'm highly pleased and glad I made the switch. Has anyone else overclocked their RAM and did any testing? I'm really curious to see what others are getting on this board. I wanted to use The DRAM Calculator for Ryzen, but my RAM isn't compatible. Happy Overclocking!

Did you do memory testing for errors?
If yes can you please share your memory settings, timings, subtimings, voltages and BIOS version?

I have the same memory kit and wanted to try it. So far for me it has only been error free only at 3600.

I tested with Prime95 Torture Testing for hours and it's completely stable for me. Your memory controller and Infinity Fabric on your CPU may vary from mine. My Memory is set to 3800, FCLK to 1900, UCLK to UCLK=MEMCLK, tCL 16, tRCDWR 16, tRCDRD 16, tRP 16, tRAS 36, tRC 52, and voltage is set to 1.37V. Everything else is set to Auto. I'm using the latest beta BIOS, v192. Good luck!
