ASUS B450-I flash to X470-I

Hi Guys,

has anyone tried to cross-flashing the ASUS B450-I to X470-I?

The boards look the same, have the same specs (besides the RGB on the X470-I, but thats not important).

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/RO...HelpDesk_BIOS/
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/RO...HelpDesk_BIOS/

Will get my B450-I the Week, so I will try to cross-flash the BIOS from the X470-I.

Wish me luck and happy non-bricking.

I'll eat my shoes if it works but I'm not going to stop you

assuming you have the means to skip the BIOS check that prevents you from flashing the wrong BIOS to your board I can't imagine it doing anything but bricking.

we're a long way from the days you could turn your DFI NF4 Ultra-D into a SLI-D or unlock your CPU multiplier with a pencil

Damn, the X470-I BIOS is 16Mb, and the B450-I is 8MB. Hope the EEPROM on the B450-I is 16MB.

Let me flash my iPhone 5c to an iPhone 11. The CPUs are both "A"s... A6 vs A13. It works like that right?
