X470 board, GPU will only run @x8 with NVME

So I just replaced my 6600k and Z170 board with a Ryzen 7 3700x and a MSI X470 Gaming Plus Max.

My GPU won't run at over x8 PCIE with a NVME drive attached to the board as well.
I know the 3700x can support a full 16 lane with an addition x4 (the chip has 20 lanes)

Updated to the latest bios.
Loaded optimised defaults.

I have no idea what to do to correct this?

I've attached the PCi-E bandwidth table for the board. Seems like it should run fine?

I have my GPU in: PCI_E1 (CPU)

And my NVME drive: M2_1 (CPU)

Update, plugged the SSD into the second slot just makes it run at Gen 2 speeds effectively gimping the drive.

Do you have GPUZ installed? Can you post a screenshot if you do?

I've attached the image.

It shows x16Gen3 because i've plugged the NVMe drive into teh second NVME slot.

The issue is that the NVME is not running at Gen3 speeds in that slot. effectively halving the performance of it.

With it in the first NVME slot and my GPU in it's normal slot the both run at x8 speed.

You said you just moved over from an Intel build, did you reinstall Windows as well or just move the drives?

Update: Seems to have fixed itself?

I put the NVME drive back into the first slot and now instead of showing both devices at x8 it's properly showing x16 and x4 @ Gen3.

Cheers for the replies guys. Appreciate it.

Cool. Just to make sure you know where to find the latest chipset driver the link is included. No need to install it if your system is running fine.
