Thanks, But got word yesterday they Took my money and pushed the date to next month on the motherboard. I dunno why when i bought it there was 3 in stock so I bought right then, Come Monday AM I get a notice they changed it to August with teh same dates trying to be slick.

We call them out on it and they made excuses, that we read the date wrong etc, We said we are glad to email them the printout at time of purchase.. They started the Ohh, I see that now routine. Needless to say Three CSR then a supervisor and nothing they told us made sense.. Bad business practices. So I got my Ram and CPU and BY the time I get the mobo IF I GET IT from them on the said date, If the CPU or Ram is faulty my 30 days would be up...

They don't think about that now do they.

But no worries I will grab the latest of everything when i get it built.

Just got a email from them, they had stated since i ordered and had a guarantee delivery date, they are getting my board around Thursday next week..
That is better then a month out.

So far all I do is look at the box with my Ram in it and wonder (@[email protected])

Now onward to the next items to purchase... May be a new Wireless Router this go. I looking at the TP Link X6000 Not sure if I want to do Asus or not. I have a RT-AC68U and It was rather bricked for a year and a half.. Bought it at a thrift store for 5 bucks and the PSU was the wrong size. SO I finally found a tip that was close and rewired it and had slight intermittent connections if moved.
Ordered the correct OEM PSU for it and runs fine. The Brick part was trying to update the firmware. The procedure is crazy, but once I got the first done it still crapped all the time so I boxed it till about 6 months ago.
Now it has been working fine, just dated and all. Getting WiFi 6 with mobo and I really thing a new X6000 will also help with the bandwidth to devices as well.

Just so expensive.

The X570-E do have a very easy bios to work with which should help.

Some things to think about, upgrade to the latest bios and use Bios Flashback for that. Keep the USB-stick in the PC, you can use it to backup bios settings under user profiles in the bios. That is very handy when doing OC if you have to reset the bios, instead of dialing in all the settings manual you can just activate the last stable profile. Also, in case you have to reset it's smart to wire the case reset button to the clear cmos jumper so you don't have to access the motherboard for every reset.

Using the above methodology it's rather quick to test even wild settings
4133 CL19 is not the greatest. Quite average. Far from "dream memory".

I can be dream memory without being the absolute number one, 4133c19 is pretty good. You shouldn't expect much lower latencies at 4133, but at 3800 which is realistic for a Zen2-system 1:1 timings should be able to be lowered to at least 16-16-16-16-30 or so at 3800MHz. And that is without raising VDIMM from 1.35V.

Higher frequencies than 3800 is reserved for Renoir and Vermeer, Matisse just doesn't do it.

Looks like a good wifi router. Good features to... Mine is just aged and it is time to secure for a years to come.

Checked on that Mobo again and they switched the date again, so all I know is it is bad practice to jerk consumers around. Dunno I need to pursue this again, but seems all we do is try to fix problems that everyone else creates.

Loosing faith in them, Asking for a refund just don't work since I would be without the board all together and I don't want to try and wait for a refund since that is days or a week and more excuses if that don't go right..

This is the reason online ordering should be rid of. Ma and pop stores should be the ones so you can at least go in and ring there neck or slam them with a summons..

Yes, not all but many 3700X do 3800MHz. In the end it's a lottery. Most do 3733MHz and AFAIK all does 3600MHz.

If you can't push the frequency further, you can push for lower timings/subtimings instead to gain a similar performance uplift.

Why not run the memory at 4133MHz you may ask, that's because Ryzen can't sync the memory bus at that speed so the memory will run on a multiplier towards the bus(which will be lowered) and that reduces performance.

The highest Zen2 can run in sync is with 3800MHz memory, if you are lucky with the lottery.
