Requesting info on Gigabyte X570 pcb changes. (Pics of the ultra 1.1 vrm)

Anyone have an idea on what changes have taken place on the Master and Ultra pcb's? Improvements or cost cutting measures?

added some pictures of the Ultra 1.1

I don't know about Gigabyte, but I've heard rumours that X570 rev. 2.xxx boards have revised memory traces for higher frequency memory. As B550 already have from scratch.

I suppose the reason being Renoir and Vermeer will bring much higher IF/memory than Matisse.

Yes as above.

For gigabyte, v1.1 has internal TB header and revised memory tracing
v1.2 further revised the memory tracing to sandwich between top bottom pcb layers.

The theory is new apu and zen2 will have much higher ram oc, thanks to improving the on die soc and having 8 cores per chip ccx

Zen3 looking like a beast for games with lowered latency and higher bandwidth

Makes sense, since the B550 master shows memory OC up to 5400Mhz.

Great, good to know thanks!
