I installed both of those items today. The biggest difference so far is much improved I/O performance.

Ryzen 3000 under Windows 10 1903 chipset driver test
[computerbase] https://www.computerbase.de/2019-07/...00-benchmarks/

The new chipset driver version 1.7.7.725 and upwards with Collaborative Power and Performance Control (CPPC2), a faster method for selecting the current CPU clock in the UEFI. Compared to the classical definition of so-called pStates, the Zen 2 should be able to adjust the clock within 2 ms to 3 ms instead of 30 ms with CPPC2, which is particularly advantageous in fast-changing loads, according to AMD. About five percent advantage is promised.

Older Zen architectures, on the other hand, do not benefit from it.

Anyone willing to do a firestrike cpu physics score comparison pre 1903 pre chipset driver update vs post updates for both?

I locked my freq on a 2700 ryzen and ran Firestrike pre and post - though I scored slightly less in overall score, the cpu score went up about 1k.

Not sure what was going on - fluke?

Adrenalin 19.6.3 vs 19.7.1 but Windows Update, R6 Siege patched and AMD 1.07.07 chipset drivers on Win10 1903
Not very scientific and not very easy replicated. So, time to make a video and update.

CPU usage has gone up while in-game [60-67% on Ryzen 5 1600 @4.0GHz] with the new windows scheduler.
But to do proper testing I should have identical bench rig not connected online.

nice one heuchler!thx !
Is the 19.7.1 driver a good one for vega?
On my fury i lost VSR option its greyed out.

btw got my vega56 pulse today from caseking and it has.....samsung hbm2 and a bit coil whine with a open case. but that doesnt make me afraid ,but also need to test her further.
One thing changed since i reinstalled 19.4.3 to see what changed between the fury and vega56 on the driver panel. isn't vega also doing compute since this button is gone? I mean i dont do any mining @ all ,just wanna know if this is ok.

Good night

Congratulations on getting the Samsung HBM2 memory and Vega 56 Pulse. It is a really nice card.
I only notice coil whine when in menu screen in games when they are displaying a few hundred FPS
Enhance Sync, V-Sync or AMD Chill (or Frame Rate Target Control) in AMD drivers or RivaTuner/AfterBurner
has a way to limit max FPS.

19.7.1 has some interface bugs for me. Can't change anything after launching a game. But I only tired two games
Wolfenstein II and Siege. Also, doing a clean drive install might have helped. Using older stable drivers is always
good. AMD driver teams seem to patch things very fast these days. All GNC based cards should support Anti-Lag
While Vega and up (Rapid Packed Math) get FidelityFX
https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/...are-fidelityfx

This is really interesting, thanks for sharing! I'm debating selling my 1080 TI and getting a 5700 XT to go with a 3700x next month strictly for BF5 (I want a non-blower 5700xt). I've been a BF gamer since 1942 and the series have generally done better on AMD gpus. I'm assuming Bad Company 3 will still be a Frostbite title but I've also heard that developers don't love the engine.
