So your plan is to get 3950X and a GPU waterblock or custom air cooler? Because that's how your order looks right now.
3700X is best paired with a B450 until B550 arrives or a decent cheap X470.

X570 only makes sense for 3900X and 3950X.

Navi is not bad as some may think I think, it's simply not priced right and almost no one should be buying these reference blowers with absolutely inadequate cooling.
I may get a aftermarket air cooler later on.

3700X + B450/550/x470 + 5700 XT partner card would be the setup to go for when building a 3700X machine.

3700X + x570 + 5700 XT reference is more of a I want it NOW! I will buy a 3950X later and water blocks for everything.

I picked up a 3700X and an Asus ROG Strix X470-F, going to test it out some tomorrow.

Got a 3900x and Aorus Master on the way. I hope. Newegg says they'll ship my mobo later today. Best Buy (had to go there to get the 3900x as Newegg was sold out) says they're still working on the order.

Got 2x8GB DDR4-4400, a 1TB 970 Evo, my trusty Radeon VII, and my current PSU (EVGA 750W P2) lying it wait. It's all going under water courtesy of a MO-RA3.

Yup, I jumped the gun.

Watch this space for future . . . uh . . . stuff! Yeah. That.

Yup - I ordered the 3900X and Asrock Taichi X570.

Both not in stock though . They've said the just haven't arrived so I'm hopeful they'll get at some point this week.

I am waiting a bit more to see whether a 5700 XT is justified, but I asked my local shop to give me a call when the 3700/3700X arrive.

Post benchmarks of the 3700X if you can. I've had my eye on that for a while.

Mind there will be a difference depending on what chipset you run it on.
I have no intentions on losing the C6H, so if I end up getting it, I will post X370 resuts.

Haven't jumped the gun yet. Would like to see some reviews of the new x570 boards after some extended use. I'm not in any real hurry, will probably hold off until 3950X release before seriously looking at buying anything. Still leaning towards a 3900x though. Rocking a GTX 1080 currently, so that $250 difference would be better spent towards a GPU upgrade.
