Did you have to push a crazy lot of voltage to get 4GHz stable enough to bench?

I think the MSI B450M Plus is a good board.

And that's a lot of performance for $55

Benches look great. Thanks.

I was surprised to see 6300 in Fire Strike, the best I did was 6100 quite a few years ago when I benched an R7 265 (identical to 7850), with a 4.5GHz i7 4770k.

I don't have the Valley score anymore but yeah, it was close to that if I recall; around 30 fps. The golden R9 270X (7870) I had that did 1300MHz core got 40 fps. I think my 7970 got 55fps or so and one 290 was around 72fps at its highest. I don't remember what a single R9 Fury did, or remember my single 1080ti score offhand (though its well north of 120fps)

Thought you want might the context with Valley since its the lowest performing.

Also, I'd be interested in seeing Unigine Superposition Extreme HD Preset, except you may fry the card lol... A single R9 290 gets 10fps in that

Yeah I guess you are right. I was just going to buy a new R3 1200 if I couldn't find a good used CPU. This R5 1600 is way better.

You are in the ballpark (physics score) of my 4ghz 1600 and stock (3.9ish I think) 2600 at almost half the cost.

My new stable 24/7 OC is now 3825MHz with DDR4-3333 14-17-18-28. It took a little bump on the SOC (IMC) and DIMM voltage to get that stable. Nice and tight and my best AIDA64 latency thus far.

Nice work on the timings.... it can take awhile to find the sweet spot!
