Can't boot into windows

sorry for format im tired

Crosshair vi 370x
ryzen 5 3600x
gskill ripjaws V 16 GB 2x8gb 16-19-19-39
old gtx 680 to hold me over
Western digital blue nvme 2280 m.2 drive
no clue whats up with this....
im thinking its the ram, m2 drive, or the 370x board.
let me know im going to bed been trying to figure this out all night since i finally flashed bios.
it acts like it is going to boot then throws me into the bios but it freezes. the cpu also seems to be randomly overclocking itself also it showed 4.2ghz just now when i tried again.
I could have accidentally hit something

sorry for crappy format, ive been up for 23 hours now.

95.567% of people make up the stats in their sig. If you are part of the 4.433% who uses real stats, put this in your sig....errr, or is that made up??? confused.gif
Please don't buy that because it cost more.... axesmiley.png

Hi,
Try with one stick of memory in the appropriate slot if no joy switch to the other stick and try again.

Remove the m.2 and connect a regular 2.5" ssd or hdd and use win-10 install media to clean install and see what happens.

During all this notice any lights or error Q codes on the board going on.
Refer to manual for what lights apply to what.

No please first make sure your nvme is set to boot first before you do anything else. Updating bios has reset all bios settings.

Hi,
lol no cliff to fall off of relax
One thing about m.2 after bios flash it's always given priority seeing secure boot/... are all enabled no matter what sata's are installed.

Yea boot order isn't the problem. I have even tried to force boot into windows through the bios. Im gonna try another drive here, already tried the ram last night and changing boot orders around. I may flash the bios again.... It starts to boot windows, but before the windows screen comes up it freezes and goes back to the bios. however when this happens the computer is frozen and needs to be reset. It gives me a A9 code, i let this run for 10 mins first boot attempt and even tried again, but it stays stuck on Setup Starting....Thats why i think a bios flash might help.

Ive read bad things about boot voltage on the ram being 1.2v on coldboot into windows and this will cause this to happen. People talk about boot voltage but I can't find a setting in the bios for this.

Thanks for the suggestions. Im gonna try another 2.5' ssd and possibly a reflash. This is my first nvme drive so if i have to do anything special I am ignorant of them. Most recent bios says that it fixed some m.2 compatibility errors...but I would assume that would mean not appearing to the mobo. Might try some random flashes from previous updates to this one. Im just trying to run this ryzen 5 and ram at stock.

Update 2.5 worked working on getting windows installed on the other drive now. Thanks! We booted now.

DRAM boot voltage is the last setting under Tweakers Paradise menu. If it is set to AUTO, then it is set to the same DRAM voltage you are using. That has been the case for a year or so, but you can set it manually. Are you using Windows from an earlier system or is it a fresh install?

Edit: I see that you have got it to work.
