Lack of USB ports on Newer Xx70 Series Chipsets

I have a Crosshair Hero VI and I use 90% if not may be all the usb ports on my board. I have checked boards several times over the years since X370 came out and it seems like things either stay the same or get worse as far as ports available on the motherboard(way less than I have now). Is there any recommendations for a board that give at least 10 usb ports ( a few ports can be any speed as they are slow devices/printer). I may have to look into adding a PCIE card but I have no experience with PCIE usb cards and I worry about devices dropping out during transfer.

I would just get an expansion card. The price to upgrade to a motherboard with 10 usbs is ridiculous.

Looks like that the route I will have to go. Will upgrade to X470/X570 and find the most ports I can afford and put the non-essential stuff on the expansion card(s). Won't even consider upgrading til things somewhat level out from this virus. X470/X570 boards are carrying a intel premium right now lol.

My X570 Ace has 8 ports on the back with headers for 2 more sets of USB 3.2 Gen 1 and 2 more sets of USB 2 and one final internal header for a USB 3.2 Gen 2.

A high quality USB 3 hub (not those rubbish 2.0 ones rebranded as 3) solves your problems.
