so what can run on VirtualBox with mint on it

I was just wondering what would be usable in a VirtualBox with Linux Mint on it, I know I can't game but what about other things like would video like in youtube and twitch work fine steam did an update that broke the remote play streaming to my windows hub again so I think I'm done jumping through hoops and I'm just going to make a windows-based system. but put a Linux-based operating system in it to do everything but gaming to try to keep everything safe I'm assuming that the VirtualBox would be walled off from the main operating system correct me if I'm wrong, please. so im asking what features would work in VirtualBox.

any help would be appreciated ty

anything that doesn't check if it's in a VM environment and refuses to play nice? even then there's generally some sort of work around.

your question is basically what food is best with mustard, we'd be here all day and you would probably never get an answer that you wanted. ask a more targeted question.

Why not test it yourself if you have a VM up and running?
Yes, video streaming will work, just make sure to use a supported web browser.

Real question is why bother running a linux vm just to stream video...

my thinkings is to use it to run everything online besides gaming to keep the system clean and more secure please correct me if I'm wrong in this thinking

Sure, you could do that.
Or you could have a VM for secure tasks (like banking) with a vpn always on, one for very dodgy tasks (like downloading illegal content) also with a vpn always on, and then do everything else on the host system.
