Exactly. It’s the combination of hardware with not being tested completely or at all.

Don't even need Jerry to "leak" the details of what happened, it's damn obvious to tech people since Win10. Sure average Joe/Jane that doesn't even know how to install Win10 still has no clue and never will understand. This has gotten annoyingly common, riddle software with telemetry and let users debug it for free. Monopolistic corporations, lack of competition.

Enable Sandbox. Restart.
Sandbox nowhere to be found to launch it

Come on!

1903 took ages to upgrade to and it indeed is kind of messed up. Even after log in the screen doesn't refresh often to see icons and one has to do go to desktop shortcut. It's pretty ridiculous.

The update branch and delays are gone from GUI, no idea if they are still hidden somewhere in group policy, there seems to be something. So much delay for 1903, it's now 1909 and it's still borked.

I always delay updating my Windows especially when everything is working fine.

I finally did the 1903 update last week and it totally screwed up all of my desktop icons

All the icons are really wide now. I can make them larger or smaller holding the control key while moving the scroll wheel, but the width to height proportions stay the same

Hi,
Yep depends on how closely one looks
Basic search will provide hits and most recent was cortana/ searchUI going nuts if was disabled in group policy...

Couple pages back defender update causes sfc errors yeah no big deal there

Every build borks virtualization yeah not too many people use that

I don't use 10 enough to notice a lot of the reported bugs win-7 is still my everyday os and looks like that won't change anytime soon
10 updates are a once a week deal not once a month that usually won't fly with a lot of people way to disruptive.

But can it run.... Angry Birds???

I usually find my icons moved after updates, I keep all of my DT shortcuts on the right, sometimes after updates, they get shifted back to the left, sometimes they even get scrambled in the center of the DT. Another anomaly I've experienced is that Windows will lose my sound settings, my speakers will go from being set for 5.1 surround to only the two front speakers working. Once I reconfigure everything it's all good again but sometimes it lasts only until the next update.

One thing that REALLY aggravates me about Windows though, is when my systems have an update set in the queue I either lose my internet connection or the internet connection suffers from so much lag it's unusable, install the update and everything goes back to working just fine. This I've experienced on multiple computers including every work station at my last job.

Oh wow, I remember the icons arrangement changing around from Windows 7 amd 8. Man that was annoying. I currently do not encounter that anymore. Your surround issue is a bit odd though, I have never had that issue. Although I do have an issue when my video card driver updates and switches the primary output from my 5.1 sound card to my HDMI TV I use as a second monitor, and yes that is really annoying.

Yes, it is annoying, hasn't happened in a while though. What gets really frustrating is when you get almost all of the shortcuts back where you want them and you try to move that last one and suddenly ALL of your shortcuts are scrambled in the middle of the screen or back where you were moving them from again Then sometimes when I go to move the first one all of the shortcuts snap back to their original position. Windows always has done some weird stuff from time to time.

I've had that issue too a couple of times but with Windows update. Not had any weird stuff happen when the video card drivers update.

Just wondering what this code.43 popup warning is I got yesterday while playing "world of tanks". Never have seen this before. The latest hot fix driver is installed and the game crashes sometimes with this code.43 popup warning.Oh, windows 10 did a update yesterday too and windows updated to ver.1903-18362.418 build. This is when the code 43 stuff all started right after the update I think.I uninstalled the hot fix driver with ddu and reinstalled the NVIDIA driver and its still doing it though at random..My card is a Asus Dual-RTX2070-O8G .I wonder if the windows update did something when it upgraded the build.
