I've started having this issue since the recent Creators? update where Steam will randomly be unclickable. If I click steam on the taskbar then try and interact with anything in the window it will act as if the window isn't on screen and click the window behind it. Only through a combination of alt tabbing between various windows and sometimes closing steam will it be able to be clicked on. It reverts back to clicking through the window pretty much instantly though if I click off steam again and back again.
Does anyone know a fix for this or know why it's happening? It's really beginning to infuriate me.
Hey do you have steam setup to accept beta builds or is this just the most latest official build of steam? I can suggest giving the beta builds a try if you do not have that setup as it may fix your issue:
No, I don't think so. The only beta I have opted into on Steam has been the recent update to CS:GO so I could play the new map, but I have opted out of that now that the map has been released and the issue has still persisted. Thank you though. I do believe I am using the most recent official version of Steam.
Edit: I am not using any beta builds of Windows 10. I was using them previously on another system but I am only on current builds now.
I still think you should opt in for the beta builds of steam and try that and see if it fixes it. Worst thing that would happen is you would have to reinstall steam (Not the games just steam client itself).
