My desktop for gaming etc runs W7 so I am new to 10. Good god....
I am trying to use a laptop for astrophotography which has Windows 10 installed. I want to do a clean install of Windows 10. There is an option to re-install but I am thinking that will just use an Asus image with the same Asus bloatware. In the past you could just download a Windows image and use your key. Is this still possible with Windows 10? The key is listed in Windows 10, I just want to make sure that key will work for another W10 image.
My goal is to have a clean Windows 10 installed, I really don't want to be linked only to the image on the Asus laptop as I suspect it will re-install all that crap. Uninstalling it has worked but I feel a real clean re-install will help the laptop run faster. The astrophotography software isn't all that demanding per-se but having the best possible speed is always helpful.
Sorry if this is a basic question, I've been out of the loop on WIndows 10. I would just buy a 7 copy for the laptop but many of the camera drivers and software versions are being optimized for 10.
