Hyper-v Services - detrimental to gaming?

I am a sys admin of ~ 70 servers and am after a bit of clarification as I'm sure I've read a couple of different things... (assuming no running VMs)

Installing Hyper-v puts the hypervisor level below your current OS - ie installing it creates a virtual machine of your current environment

Hyper-v slows down gaming

Can someone please give me some actual info here?

Sacrifices to the god of speed:i386 DX-40 - Blew at 80 (I learned to add fans)i486 DX-66 - Blew at 133 Laughed big time! PIII 733 @ 931 - fan failed whilst on holiday. (cried)

Hi,
No idea I always disable hyper-v or make sure it's off by default seeing I do not use it
Not to mention so many security holes are being found now with spectre and meltdown
Remote desktop feature I also disable
