Windows clock is late

I noticed that in last 2 month windows clock fall short 2 minutes on my mobile phone clock. Mobile clock is still the same time as some internet clock I used to set time.

MBO is X470 strix, it is still default BIOS, I am waiting for new BIOS because these new BIOS-es are tend to have some freezing problem.

So what coudl be the problem here?

- Windows software problem? Should I syncronize windows clock with interent (control panel- date and time - internet time - time.windows.com)?

- CMOS battery problem?

- Something else, something much bigger hardware problem??

EDIt: Set time automatically option was set to OFF so I turned it ON. How do I know that this was really a problem and not the BIOS/Hardware/MBO/CMOS battery?

That was your problem.
Don't stress over it, theres no hardware issue with you PC if your clock was off.
Always keep time set automatically ON.

I'm going to assume that your the type who goes from zero to 100 whenever something is off OP? lol
Your stressing over something that trivial. We have people who's GPU have fried and getting crypto'd, and your worried about your clock being off 2 minutes lol.

Sorry, had to get that out of my system. Cryptedvick is 100% correct. There is nothing wrong with the hardware. It was a mis-clicked setting in Windows. You can sleep soundly tonight.

Yes yes I know I overreacted )) couple of months ago I had big problems with some components, it took some time to return from RMA so I was a little precautios this time. Looking from software view what could cause clock to late if mobile and pc clock was set at a same time? Just curious.

That is actually quite serious time drift. It isn't anything to worry about. But it just points to the fact that your internal ticker is off by A LOT. Such machines shouldn't really get out of the factory but well, whatever.

It isn't a major deal for a consumer machine as NTP will correct it constantly but if you use it in some internal production environment and run strict time-based crontabs on it, then at some point after running for a year, things can get weird pretty fast.
