Enable Bitlocker - PC will no longer boot

I recently installed a TPM 2.0 module in my desktop, specifically this chip. I then cleared the TPM module, and enabled Bitlocker.

Now... my PC will no longer boot or it does boot, it is taking longer than an hour (still hasn't booted into Windows). Unfortunately, I also can't seem to boot to the Recovery Partition. I have a backed up copy of my Bitlocker Recovery Key - but I would like to sort this out and use full drive encryption on my OS drive in conjunction with the TPM module (similar to how a laptop is encrypted)

Would appreciate any help - as this is my only desktop and its rather annoying.

I even tried removing the TPM module, and I receive the same result - so it seems like it has something to do with the drive, maybe not so much Bitlocker?

Hardware references:
MSI Gaming G710A
Intel i6700K
Nvidia GTX 1070
Corsair 16 GB RAM
Samsung SSD 850 Pro
