Windows 10 BSOD when using DDU in safe mode and restarting

Hi,

I've been using DDU in safe mode. I hit "clean and restart" and as soon as it restarts, I get a BSOD with this error:

"Driver unloaded without cancelling pending operations"

I used DDU last week to uninstall all the drivers and it was ok then so no idea why it's doing it now.

Any ideas? Google says most of the time it's driver issues related but I don't know.

Don't boot into safe mode then? I always use DDU and never boot into safe mode, never had an issue.

hmm I could give that a go. I only do it in safe mode because that's what's recommended.

I have found almost no reason to use safe mode in win10. Definitely do not need to use it just to install or uninstall driver.

Can confirm it works fine in normal mode and all my drivers are up-to-date so safe mode was just causing issues ironically.

Hi,
Just disconnect from the internet and be quick about reinstalling the new driver
The 10 os has a nvidia driver in it's local store and yes it's very old 388... and will start to install it if you pause for a little while so still do the custom install and clean install.

Also consider nvcleaner to repackage the new driver first so all the nvdia sludge is not included in the new driver.
