W10 wont fully install. I get a error " cannot install required files"

I have a pc that works fine. Had a SSD in it a couple years ago. I put a HDD in it and installed windows 8.1 via disk a month ago. Then went and bough a 500gb sandisk ultra and the problems began. I have tried installing windows 10 via usb, and disk. and i get the same error, it changes in install percentage. I have gotten this error at 10%, 50% and 82% and many other percents.

Anyone have any idea why? I have installed my HDD with 8.1 and it runs fine. So its not a hardware issue. Bad SSD maybe?

Need to load into UEFI and turn your disk/sdd your trying to install win10 into GPT.

I just had this issue and thats what fixed it.

https://windowsreport.com/cant-install-windows-10-ssd/ or something. I forget what guide I used.

If you have a graphics card plugged in it could cause that problem also.

I had problems recently installing Windows and Windows support acknowledged that their installer doesn't play well with Invida.

Hi,
First I would check if you don't know if your disk is mbr or gpt
If mbr see how many partitions exist mbr only allows 4 partitions so if you have 4 delete one because the installer can't install another for system restore.

Post a free minitool disk screen shot

Check your RAM for errors. If it has errors and runs xmp, turn off xmp and test again.
If the ram is ok, then it will be a bad ssd, maybe creating power issues.

System : i7-3770 (4.1 GHz Allcore OC) / 16 GB Corsair Dominator platinum cl9 1600MHz ram / Asus P8Z77-M / RX Vega 64 LC / R9290X secondary / SSD Intel 520 series + Samsung 850 evo + kingston UV400 / 2x 2TB Seagate HD / DVD-WR / Corsair H110 AIO LC (cpu) / 2x Front Intake fan / Corsair HX1000i psu / Iiyama GB2888ushu 4k freesync monitor / Corsair K70 rapidfire rgb / Logitech G502 / Corsair void usb. + a ghost that sometimes acts up.

the format windows uses when installed, MBR or GPT. Master boot record, or guid partition table.

I had a similar issue a few months back when rebuilding an old raid.
