As are we are aware of spyware , these are just more steps that we can take ..
Unexplained computer behavior may be caused by deceptive software. i personaly use spybot search and destoy link > http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html << freeware
and i use webroot spysweeper.link to webroot spysweeper > http://www.webroot.com/wb/products/spysweeper/index.php
and webroot spy sweeper which are 2 very good programs to use to fight spyware , now adaware is so so . i found out that sbybot actualy finds more spyware than adaware ,,and when using adaware first .spybot seems to find spyware that adaware didnt find i did this for about a month . so i unistalled adaware.. now spy sweeper ,when using both programs i foud out that they work hand and hand , if one finds spyware then the other 1 finds none and same goes for the spybot they are equal in find such deceptive software.
heres a link that microsoft has . pretty good reading here i say but read the artical if you want ..

Geez, not even your own wallpaper? Not cool!

I gots my own wallpaper, about half my CD collection on the HD, I know I can't download ANY program I want, but the IT guys are cool here...

I can run ad-aware, and stuff, I even have AIM and AOL on here...

of course I have to sign in as workstation only when I'm working on classified stuff...but THAT doesnt happen very often.
