Low(er) ambient cooling

Nice crisp fall Saturday morning.

Weather Channel said 28°F at the airport, usually a few degrees warmer here at the house.

I thought I would utilized that nice cool air.

Placed my radiator in an open window, my digital thermometer said 0°C.

Sig rig.

CPU @ 5300MHz, voltages on auto.

Ran LinX 0.9.5 to heat things up. Core max at 62°C.

Fired up AIDA64 Stress Test using FPU, which usually runs in the low 90°C at 5100MHz. Core Max @ 74°C.

Looks good, just keep an eye on the dew point for condensation. Maybe try 5.4. On the chiller @ 4c I can run 5.5 at 1.45v but start to hit a voltage wall there as 5.6 takes 1.65v

Thanks.

Humidity was at 16%, so no problem with condensation.

Later this winter, when it gets colder (like 10°F), I will see what I can do.

By the way, I see you have a Dark. Just curious, what kind of scores do you get in LinX?

In no way should it be misconstrued that I do not disagree.

Must be very itchy at 16% lol. Honestly I have not tried Linx on mine

Might do an experiment where I put the evaporator in front of the fans/rad to see if that can drop my water temp. Could be interesting. Just have to bring my humidistat home from work to monitor dew point

just make sure when you're done to click the save/exit X on the bottom right or it'll go back to how it was the next time you start it.

That is the default (Auto) the board sets for 4500MHz RAM.

I do lower it to VCCSA 1.285 and VCCIO 1.275 for everyday use.

In no way should it be misconstrued that I do not disagree.
