I'm not sure what the actual differences are. But $24 shipped sounds like a good deal. I'd probably go with that one.

Moms comp is the 990FXA-UD3 Rev 1.1 audio works still, runs 24/7 although little use on the audio ports.

I just plugged in the cheap usb interface i had for the raspberry pi and carried on.

The cheap usb one i have has a very harsh snap when its powered on, when headphones are still plugged in. You get what you pay for as always
