Why is this forum slower then most?

just wondering, but why is this forum slower and more laggy then others? What could fix that issue?

Ublock Origin browser addon

The other thing is they let threads get so big they slow load time a lot.

what do you mean by "Ublock Origin browser addon?" ..... I wonder if "turtle Rig" is slowing this forum down?

Element blockers actually speed up page renders because they're blocking resource requests. They'll only be slower if your computer is so slow that parsing the page is actually slower than just sending and receiving resources over a network.

As for speeding up the site, there really isn't much you can do on your end. The site would have to either move to a server that's faster with database queries or using a wider spanning CDN with some node that's closer to you.

Ahhh, is this the same as adblockerplus? Cause I am already using that and does a great job. Is that blocker any better?

uBlock Origin (not regular uBlock) is considered the best element blocker around. It's lighter on resources than most of the other big ones (adblock plus, adguard, etc.) and also didn't sell out like a few of the other ones (mostly because it's completely open source).
