So... I recently went on a spree and upgraded my collection.

Originally I just had Super Mario Odyssey but I recently picked up (physical copies):

• Mario & Rabbids Kingdom Battle;
• Rayman Legends;
• Super Smash Bros Ultimate;
• Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

As well, I grabbed GRIS from the download store. I hope to get that strategy game from the devs of Faster than Light too (don't recall the name).

I'm ecstatic that SSMB Ultimate includes all the original N64 stages and starts with the original N64 characters. The gameplay feels great, albeit a bit fast paced. I'm a fan of the N64 & Brawl pace vs Melee but I know I am in the minority.

The revised Classic mode is great! I think the pacing is excellent and I really like how the difficulty scales depending on your performance. I don't think I will touch the story mode / spirit mode anytime soon.

I'm only disappointing that it seems like all the stages are unlocked from the get go. As well, character unlocks don't have significance to them. I've only played about 12-15 matches, locally, and I think I have unlocked at least eight characters. Not to mention the fights are extremely pathetic. I understand for newcomers / beginners the difficulty is lower but common. If I am having a local free-for-all with bots on LVL 8, please adjust the unlocks accordingly.

What kept me tied to Smash Bros N64 was playing nearly a 100 matches and then coming across a really difficult unlock i.e. Luigi.

That being said, it's really just a small complaint. I've only played the game so far in portable mode. The joycons surprisingly do it justice. The right stick can be used like the C-Stick on the Gamecube pad too. Feels good. Also, running 60 fps on mobile? This is crazy! I've played for about 2 hours straight and my battery level was at 43%. I am damn impressed!

To be fair, I haven't even booted up the game yet, beyond just loading the first level. I got pulled back in Odyssey but I am a huge fan of XCOM and I've heard great things about the cross over.

Lets not rule out the sequel yet. I don't have the time stamp but in a recent interview with Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, he had mentioned that Nintendo was happy with the success of Mario+Rabbids.

Likely, we will see the series continue. Given the game was released almost two years ago, I believe a sequel will be mentioned near E3 or Gamescom.

Just picked it up myself! I havent invested into the Online Service but I may succumb to Nintendo here for all the cool levels that people create!

Stocked to finally try it out. Didnt want to invest in the WiiU so I am really happy they brought it to the Switch.

May invest in a stylus... 🙂

I was exactly the same. Didn't want to buy a WiiU just for 1 game but pre-ordered this the moment that it become available. The online is a MUST in my opinion. Some of the levels are SO insanely good. Then you get others that are just cheap. Even trying out the course editor is really fun ^^

Just played it for the last couple hours; Got hooked online. Did a Super Expert difficulty co-op level with 3 others. After 30mns without progressing more than the width of the Switch screen...

It was down to two of us but we finally beat the level!

I did the free trial for online but I will likely sign up for a full subscription now 🙂

Competitive was really laggy but co-op so far has been seemless.

Send me your Switch friend code 🙂

Loving the game!

yea, its so annoying. Even for a "new" sort of system, its still SO far behind that of XBLive and PSN in so many ways.
