Sorry to bump this old thread, but I couldn't think of if it would be just cause to make a new one. Check this out, I've been running the original super_pi.exe and it has always showed the "standard" font. However, today I extracted ~1000 .TTF's into \\WINNT\\FONTS. I was careful when asked for "replace file" to skip all those, in other words I did not replace any current .ttf's in the folder.

However. All of a sudden, super_pi.exe appears like this:

Strange, huh?

I downloaded the super_pi_mod.exe (v1.5 XS), and then the font shows up as normal again. This is pretty strange, huh? Does _anyone_ out there have a reasonable explanation for this? I've tried lotsa Google strings with "super pi" and "default font" as terms, but no hits of interest.

Born to be..?

Is there a 64 bit version? The one in the OP only lets me go up to 512k.

It's benchmarking.

My 1 mil score was 29.422 seconds which seems to be typical of an Athlon 64x2 processor. The test made it run at 2.862 Ghz so it's all good.

If you look at the OP's post date for this thread. its in 2006, there have been no new versions recently.
