Hotkeys can save a ton of time, but Winkey and start typing is the #1 Windows pro tip of all time. That said, I use AutoHotkey to make small scripts that make my life a million times easier. For instance, I made one script when I hit my hotkey for Notepad++ it will check if it is already running. If it is it focuses the window, if not it starts the program. Brilliant!
Code:
^!n::
SetTitleMatchMode 3
IfWinExist Notepad++
        WinActivate
else
        Run C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\notepad++.exe
return

Let's keep it going. windirstat = Windows Directory Statistics. Lets you see files based on their relative size on disk. Helpful when trying to find unused data when clearing out space.

This one is good if you have a smaller keyboard, like a mechanical AND still want your media keys. Good choice.

This one looks great for an eSlob like me. If forget where I put the pile of stuff I made when I clean up. I have old subprograms from 4 OSs ago stashed away. I am an eHorder. I should make a new reality program!

Rocketdock - almost the same as star dock, just free

Photoshop and illustrator cs6 - life saver when my (stupid) group members managed do delete 48 hours of HTML and CSS code three days before deadline, just give the new files the correct CSS values you need and it'll save you tons of work in getting the one pixel right

Tweaks.com - change logon screen easy

Lmgtfy.com - easy way to answer dumb questions

Soda drinker pro - a soda drinking simulator for crying out loud tongue.gif

Zune music player - gave me an easy time managing the folders with the built in song info searcher from Internet and putting the song in right place ranging; music>artist>album>song

Decent utilities for work.

AutoSizer - Resize/Reposition windows on open or by hotkey. Good if you use multiple programs consistently and always want them in the same location at a certain window size
Dexpot - Multiple virtual desktops - Good for separating your projects/tasks onto separate desktops instead of every single window being opened on one desktop

I guess I should have added some of mine:

theRenamer - metadata scraper for TV Shows. Free and works very well.

Cobian Backup - free transfer/sync/backup program with tons of features. Great for backing up files to another drive, ftp site, etc.

Grooveshark (website but deserves mention) - Similar to Pandora or Spotify, you can listen to specific songs (as opposed to Pandora where you have to hope they come on) and you can make radio stations as well.

GrooveShark works in Taiwan! Groovy! Thanks man. I miss Pandora, USA only sucks big shark face.

I wish I had had Cobian Backup a week ago. HD dies out of nowhere is not fun, not fun.
