Real temp is reading a good 10C lower than HWMonitor and Core Temp in my case...
I am using a 45nm chip... but which is right? it seems the Tj Max value is different between the 2 programs..

Current Audio: Gustard U12 > Gustard X12 > Gustard H10 / Matrix M-Stage / Schiit Lyr (Cryo'd Gold Lions) / Presonus Eris E4.5 Monitors
|| HE-400i w/ AlphaPads || Oppo PM-3 || Fostex TH-X00 || AKG K701 || HD 650 ||
Current Mouse/Keyboard => cm novatouch w/ pbt caps || g403

RealTemp is probably closer to being right with the 45nm chips. The newest versionof CoreTemp should match RealTemp.

Regardless the distance to tjmax is going to be the same with all of them, and that's what counts.

I wouldn't go near my rig with core temp (it always shows me in the high 40's O_O) Real temp was designed around my processor (And e8400's)

I go by RealTemp (TjMax 95c)
CoreTemp uses 105c
HWMonitor uses 105c
Everest uses 100c
SpeedFan somewhere in between (5-7c difference)

CoreTemp and Everest TjMax can be adjusted with latest editions:
