Need help finding parts for an Asus K501uw laptop

I purchased this laptop from a friend for $30 because it didn't work and they didn't want to pay the exhorbant repair fees. After taking it apart and doing some deep cleaning (something may have been spilled on it) I was able to get it to boot up and run fine. But it is intermittent. I have discovered a few issues.
The big one is the latch on the mainboard that accepts the cable ribbon from the IO board is broken. In the process of jury rigging the latch so it will hold the ribbon cable, the ribbon cable started to come apart. A couple of the thin wires have separated from the ribbon. So now I can't get it to even boot up. So I need a new ribbon cable.

1. I need a new ribbon cable but I've not been able to find one. I have found a few places that offer the IO board (has the audio, two USB ports, and the power button) but they do not really indicate a cable is included. I did find one that lists the cable but it is in Australia and the total is about $50 and will take a month to get to me. To costly and to long of a wait for me.
Anyone know where I can maybe get just the ribbon cable?

2. Wifi card, the screw on it will not come off and in the process of trying to get the screw off I accidentally broke the bluetooth connector for the antenna. Will the 9260 work as a better replacement for the 7265?

3. Speakers, they simply are not working, but that may be because of the ribbon cable or even the actual IO board may be damaged...not sure how to check them.

Note that when I look for parts for this laptop I do find the speakers but nothing else I need.

Any help is appreciated, links are even more appreciated.
