I7-4510U undervolt problem

So here’s the thing I want to undervolt my laptop but when I set the voltage to literally anything the voltage gets set on static and I get BSOD after a short while. This doesn’t happen with voltage offsets however why is this?

First of all thats weird that you are able to set static voltage as 99% of laptops wont allow that, second thing the only logical way is offset by maybe -100mv?

Sure the offset works quite well but I’m interested in exactly why it BSODs when set to static I just don’t get it why this happens it doesn’t happen in desktop so what gives?

I meant that its nearly impossible to use static voltages in laptops due to the way frimware/bios is locked so that your laptop allowed you to change the voltage in the first place is weird.

What undervolt are you attempting? I can get anywhere from -0.120 to -0.145 although I'm not quite sure the -0.145 is stable..but its quite a hefty undervolt for my 7300HQ processor...
