Pumps from Bmaverick came last week, mayhems pastel white, watercool 7970 backplate, and a bunch of fittings came the week before and today the mailman brought me my bitspower res, duralene tubing, and more fittings all from sidewinder computers. Everything is now in my hands except for the case which i am eagerly awaiting.
Test ran the new motherboard yesterday... bad idea. I am hoping the fact that it gave me several blue screens and then refused to turn on is related to me not doing a fresh windows install... ive tested all my gear separately from the mobo and everything is fine. Now everything is back connected to my z68 extreme 4 working 100% and i am thinking i got given a dud mobo.. lucky i bought it locally warranty shouldn't be an issue.
I have also decided on quite a few changes to the build theme:
I think i counted about 4 other people who were planning on grey/white/blue themed compact splash builds
:... so that idea was quick to go!
An external radiator is being added to the loop in this configuration:
I bought an AX360 when i got the new mobo and the EX120, i was planning on making a base for it out of wood, probably Jarrah or Marri (native Australian timber). This has given me the idea to incorporate wood into the whole build. Hopefully this will allow me to make this build a bit more unique compared to just choosing a colour scheme for coolant and sleeving!
