Best Case for Aircooling/Airflow for CPU & GPU

Hey guys,

title says it all, I'm looking für the cases with the best aircooling (no radiators, just fans and coolers) setup for an upcoming project. An excellent airflow concept is gonna be very important, no closed front please. Noise doesn't matter, it's all about the temps.

My favorites so far:

Fractal Meshify C - good quality, great cable management options, decent price, fits NH-D15(S) and other massive CPU coolers, can hold 3x 120 or 2x 140 front fans, 2x 120/140 top, 1x 120 bottom and back fans, lightly weird psu shroud with hard drive bay in front, attractive looks, 2x front usb

SilverStone RL06 GP - best possible price/performance, amazing cooling performance (gpu & cpu) with 3 good 120mm front fans, 1x 120 back fan, can also hold 2x 140 front fans, 2x 120/140 top, psu shroud doesn't hinder airflow, max cpu cooler height 158mm, not the most attractive case, average cable management, average build quality, 4x front usb

Lian Li PC-O11 Air - up to 12x 120 or 4x 140 fans, bottom/front intake possible, good cable management and psu placement, good looks and quality, not available yet, unknown msx cpu cooler height, 2x front usb

Any other comparable cases you can think of? Noise really doesn't matter, airflow/aircooling potential is my priority for this project. GPU will most likely be a 780ti or 980(ti) and both GPU and CPU will be overclocked.

Thanks for your intake!

My vote goes to the Meshify C..

It's practically a Define C , which is a great case , with improved airflow..You just have to add some fans for improved cooling

Phanteks Enthoo Pro M. Looking to give my FD Arc Midi R2 its well earned retirement, and this looks like the best candidate, seeing as Fractal still refuses to launch an Arc R3. Everywhere I look shows great results not only on air, but also watercooling, so its also a great base if I ever decide to move from air.

You can also consider the Corsair Air 540/740, Updated H500p, or Silverstone PM01.

Cases with front doors like thr Define R6 are good too

But I think the meshify is the best balance

I like the Meshify C the best, though the RL06 in theory should give slightly better performance with the stock fan performance.

The biggest problem with the Meshify C is that they didn't make a bigger version for me to fit my custom loop. I ended up going with the Rosewill Cullinan for looks, size, and performance.

No love for Phanteks?

Phanteks Enthoo Luxe and Phanteks Enthoo Pro should be on the list.

Caselabs is an option , albeit higher prices. Silverstone's Fortress FT02 / FT05 are other high priced options but a bit dated these days if you ever decide to use radiators.

Corsair's Obsidian 750D / 450D or Obsidian 780T with the airflow oriented front panel should be decent if not the Air 740. The 270R is also respectable.

Should probably look into the Be Quiet cases as well. (Be Quiet Silent Wings 3 fans are among the best so you save on buying fans)

Be Quiet! Pure Base 600 , Be Quiet! Dark Base Pro 900 should be on the list too.

With stock fans the Fractal Design R6 isn't too bad , although the GPU cooling could be improved a bit it's within a degree of the open bench

While the Silverstone RL06 may be good for airflow, the bottom PSU filter is idiotically designed.

Thanks for the replies!

I'll go through all the cases mentioned. Not a fan of cases with front doors, though, I'd have to open them or disassemble them completely to improve the intake.

The new version of the H500P with mesh front panel looks very interesting.
