Mac Pro case?

Is it possible to use a cheese grater Mac Pro case and build a regular system in it, or is everything propriety in terms of mounting?

you're not going to be able to put standard components in it without basically redesigning the whole thing.

Sure why not, the problem is getting that case from China, finding the manufacturer and some seller or "nobody" that's gonna get you that case. Such as say sneak out a QC defect and sell it to you instead of scrapping it.

Or go to a local kitchen supplies store and buy a gigantic cheese grater and mount it on a Fractal Design Graterify Mini C.

Yes! It's possible, I did it with a G5 cheeseboy.

I bought a case of a guy who had JB-welded a silverstone (iirc) motherboard tray into it.
The front panel connectors were really fiddly to solder on as I am no expert, but the biggest nightmare was with the PSU placement due to dimensions of the original apple PSU, more like a server PSU.

Is this still broken?

Didn't the G5 basically use a BTX motherboard and standard components? The 2019 Mac Pro internals are all sorts of wonky.
