Silverstone GD-08 + Aquaero

Hello,
I would like to build a home server with a Silverstone GD-08 and manage its fans by an Aquaero installed in one of 5.25" bay. At product webpage, it is said that those 5.25" bays "support optical drive only". I cannot understand the meaning, because I guess that every 5.25" device may be mounted, included an fan controller or an Aquaero.

Does someone of you already installed an Aquaero? I could not find out images by googling.

Thank you.
Bye.

OCN Aquaero Owners Club you maybe interested in the whole thread but maybe skip alot to the last ~100 or so posts.

did you mean just your case? thats a needle in a haystack if it exists. don't worry there are fan controllers, WC reservoirs (old school though), 2.5/3.5 drive adapters and lord knows what else will fit just fine in a 5.25 drive bay.

i guess they may have stated that optical drive stuff to combat peoples' stupidity.

Negative, not the Case Labs, the Silverstone GD-08, I expected it was clear enough.

ah sorry, it not clear. but if it is then why are you asking?

having already look at the mounting in the 5.25 drive bays - the face plate may not be flush but you can fix that on the AQ. however, the mounting holes line up spot on.

if a dvd drive fits, then the AQ fits. do yourself a favor go ask on that thread i linked.
