ok for £150 I can get one of these... in all honestly there is nothing out there fo rhte price, been looking at the 900D but wow that's a lot of money.

my only bug bear with this is that it's not all black and the cable routing it's how I'd want... that's whats put me off getting one of these.

that and there is supposed to be an update to thise soon but my Stacker and then my Pure (awful) are annoying me.... recently you guys have said this is the best case still....

if this is waffle ignore me as I'm just pondering what to do.

Quit "waffling" and get off the fence.
This is still the best case for the money. The new/updated ATCS goes back to an older model; which many of us think is hideous!

Not all black? True! but your local building supply / automotive store has lots of nice high qualtiy paints.
And then there is always powder coating!
Either way, just keep it away fom the slider bearings!biggrin.gif

For ref check out the work of your fellow countryman Coolmiester just a one page back, and his red monster very early on in the thread.

Just because you are paranoid, don't mean that people aren't out to get you!

Case Mod: Blue in Black

MRU is right. Color is easy. This case gives what you can't get in many cases: capacity. So much room for drives, psu mounting options, additional fan opitions, space for WC. Even with a lot installed there is ample room for cable routing that won't impede airflow. And these threads show lots of amazing mods if need be. But not many left out there.....

Most of the research btw shows that uniform exterior case color has minimal effect on computer performance but can have a significant effect on operator or spectator performance rolleyes.gif

Buy it and enjoy it.

I'm thinking about painting the motherboard tray black. Next week I am getting a new desk. I'm going to unplug and clean everything during the transition so I might try painting the MB tray then.

Draygonn, how are you liking your GA-X58A UD 3R? Is it Rev 1 or 2?

It's Rev 2 and I love it. It has done everything I asked of it, has handled the power quite well, and it's layout serves my irregular triple slot sli needs.

Clearly, the best option is some chaleleon chip that will regulate voltage to variable color elements of a coating. Alternatively, what appears to be a window in the case side panel is really a flat panel screen...change colors, change components, whatever, the viewer will never know.
