It should. Initially, I used an original Cooler Master V8 heatsink and had plenty of room, so Noctua's NH-D15 should be no problem...as long as it fits your motherboard and clears both memory and your GPU in the first slot. There were NO problems with it touching the side pannel.

ATCS 840 - New Build in 2020

Hello all.

Hoping the club is still alive.

My first build in this case was 2012 and it's time for a new one.

Because of time demands I ordered and received a big name brand workstation computer off-the shelf. And I'll get it up and running this week. I opened the case to look inside and it skeeves me out. Tight quarters, everything squashed together and hidden by shrouds or other components. Tiny little fans. a completely un-modular 1,000w psu. Can barely see the mobo. It does have an M2 SSD for C:OS. But only two HDD bays with SATA power and data cables (well I can only see one of those). So 2nd and 3rd qtr 2020 will have to see a new build in this case.

Three questions that I'm sure could expand into more.

1) Any experiences with gaming or workstation builds and good psu-mobo pairings?

2) Has anyone modified the top pop-up panel with new i/o (usb 3.x, port for single headphone plug, thunderbolt, USB C)? When I checked years ago it looked like a "tear case down to get at it" operation.

3) Any other necessary mods for 2020 build?

THX

OG
