I am setting up a new WC system and need to get rid of the hard drive bay on the bottom middle and move the hard drives to under the DVD where I have three empty slots.

What do I need to order to do so ???? I wish that the whole bay would just pop in, but I cant be that lucky.

Thanks for your help with this, I need to move my Reservoir way over the the left and cant do so with the hard drive bay in the way.

I eventually want to put a 200mm Rad and Fan in the front right side in push/pull config.

Thanks for your help.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817994163 would have been a good solution.

Thank You so much for your answer ............ I got out my flashlight and pen and paper and took some measurements
and Im in fantastic luck !! My entire cage with all the HD's in the trays will fit with room to spare inside my three empty
bay area below the DVD.

I sure lucked out !! Thanks !!!

Just received the mesh side panel for my 650D. Now I have a Bitfenix Spectre Pro 200mm up front, and Cooler Master Megaflow 200mm for side intake and upper exhaust.

DEMCiflex filters for top and side. Planning to get another Bitfenix for the side intake when I have the chance; they're nice fans. My understanding is they won't fit in the top of the case, or I'd buy another there as well. Great airflow, without a lot of noise at full voltage (though I have a Lamptron fan controller, I've not found I had to drop the voltage).

Thinking of stencilling the mesh side panel with an image in white glow-in-the-dark paint.

@Lonewolf15 0 great build!

New Thermaltakes are out: http://www.thermaltake.com/Case_Fan/Case_Fan_/Luna/C_00002367/Luna_20_LED_White/Design.htm. Also other sizes too. These puppies are 30mm deep, however I don't plan to use the bottom cages so they ought to be good. Will wait till reviews of course.

So guys, I know I'm gonna get murdered for posting about this topic this late into the release of the Corsair 650D, but what is the best solution to completely remove the front fan noise produced by the front grill/filter?

I've searched all over the place for a solution and the best ones seem to be:

1) Cut out the front fan grill with a dremel (don't have the tools or the skills for that)
2) Installing rubber washers to separate the fan from the grill as much as possible

The second one seems like the most realistic solution for me.

If I decide to go with that, which rubber washers should I use?, length wise, and of course I'm gonna need longer screws for this, size?

Thanks, and please be kind lol.

EDIT: I removed both hard drive cages from the front, so there's enough clearance there for long washers.

Here:

I can't speak for the others but I see no need to shoot you. I only recently finished modding my 650D

You can get a nibbler tool like this for $12. It would be tedious as all get out but you can make a hole that isn't too rough with it, then clean it up with a half round file. You can either drill a starting hole for it or use a pair of dikes (wire cutters) to gnaw out a starting hole.

While removing the punched grill in the front of the case itself will reduce noise noticeably, I would also suggest replacing the stock fan with a quieter one that has more air flow, such as the Cooler Master Megaflow.
