There is a toolkit to update your own AMI UEFI BIOS with all of the latest and greatest. It is called UEFI BIOS Updater (UBU) by LS_29 and it is easy to use. The English thread for this is located here. As you can see from the last linked page, there are simple instructions on using UBU to update your own UEFI BIOS with. The latest version is located here or here for downloading. Enjoy.

If you need the latest Gigabyte Beta BIOS, you can find it here. Public releases do not have a letter following the number, i.e. G7m.

Note: This does not work with X99/2011-v3 motherboard UEFI BIOS'. It's in View Only mode.

Sounds like the location in the BIOS for the microcode is full. Try downloading the original again and modding that instead. smile.gif

Same error, i read in overclockers.ru that this is problem with gigabyte bios only and it affects every x79 based gigabyte bios. LS_29 posted modified LGA2011 ffs file with removed microcodes 06D1 and 06Е6. Which CPUs these microcodes affect ? BTW UBU works with the modified ffs file.

Also i noticed that in 1.1.13 version of UBU the LGA2011.FFS is 125KB and in 1.1.14 it is 129KB, so it is not a huge difference and modified one is 109KB.

I am attaching the modified LGA2011.FFS here for all gigabyte owners. LGA2011.zip 106k .zip file

Thank you for posting that. smile.gif I didn't have any problems using the one with v1.1.13, but I'm using BIOS X01 as well.
