I know it might be a longshot but does anyone know where to get Intel motherboard bios updates now that Intel has pretty much purged everything to do with a bios update as of 11/22/19 I'm looking for a bios update for a skull trail motherboard (DP67BG)
Windows 10 installs Intel micro code updates for better or for worse
I have windows 10 but I'm stuck on a bios from 2012 I have to update it from that to get it to recognize a gtx 1660. See the problem is a gtx 1060 6GB works just fine but not with a gtx 1660 I've tested the GPU on another system so I know the card is fine. So I was going to try and do a bios update to try and fix the problem.
I thought the same thing myself but it's the only thing that I can think that will fix it. The 1660 works just fine with a 4th gen Intel motherboard so I did some digging and a few other people was telling me it's a bios issue.
My 1080ti doesn't like to run over legacy mode bios over plx, so maybe you have some problem like that.
If it is on, try turning CSM compatibility off in your bios/ running it in UEFI only mode and see if that fixes it. If that is the problem a bios flash won't necessarily fix that setting. But your windows installation might not like that if you installed it legacy style. Worst thet could happen is you have turn CSM compatibility back on.
I did not see a newer version uploaded anywhere, so I guess it is the latest possible one. rebyte.me has older versions, too.
If you have problems, you can install a 32-bit windows 7/other 32-bit OS, and run the .exe as an admin.
I did this on my DQ45CB - update 133 (123 to 133) and it was all fine
