Reproducibility: Yes, happens every time.

Repro Steps:
1) Visit forum home page
2) Click an unread thread (i.e. via the Latest Discussions section)
3) Get snapped!

Expected: It should not snap you to the first post. It should take you to the top of the page and only snap when you return to that thread with unread posts.

System info: Windows 7 x86, Chrome 17.0.963.56

Thanks! The behavior from the "Latest Discussions" box is designed to operate in a very specific way. Since we can only have those links perform a single function, the behavior of them is to auto-snap to the latest unread post - in many cases, this is somewhere deep in the thread, but for a thread you've never viewed before it will be the very first post. This is the reason that you aren't landing at the very top of the page as you would if you entered the thread from the forum index.

It might be more clear to consider the structure of a link from the Latest Discussions box:
https://www.overclock.net/forum/unread/1217823

...vs a link to the same thread from the threads listing:
https://www.overclock.net/t/1217823/dlink-gaming-router-issues

Same thread ID - the Latest Discussions link just is routed through a feature to determine the last post you've read in a thread and then redirect you to that post.

That makes sense. However, is it possible to throw in an exception for the first post? When I click an unread thread from that link I like it to take me to the top of the page so I know which forum I'm in (since I didn't navigate to a specific forum) and all of that good stuff.
