  • What happened?

When I go to my subs and click the link it brings me to post 1. Now if I click go to unread posts or w/e it is it used to send me to the first post that I haven't read, now it sends me to last post in thread always.

  • Are you able to reproduce this problem consistently?

Happens every time since 2 days ago.

  • What steps did you take to reproduce this problem?

Just go look at updated subs.

  • What action did you expect to occur when this bug appeared?

I thought it would take me to first unread post as usual.

  • Any additional information that will help us diagnose the issue:

    N/A

  • Browser, active browser addons, and operating system:

    Chrome:
    Adblock
    Adblock for Youtube
    FlashControl
    UBlock Origin

    Windows 7 SP1 Build 7601

  • URL where the issue occurs:

    https://www.overclock.net/users/subscriptions/index/view/threads

Edit> Had edited that this had fixed. But it seems intermittent. Sometimes the unred posts button sends me to first of new posts, other times it sends me to last post, its quite random.

Yeah, this is normal for the Threads tab. There's nothing wrong with what you're experiencing at all. Clicking the title of the thread on the Threads tab is supposed to bring you to the first page (not just the first post, but the first page). The only way for you to go to the first unread post on the Thread tab is by clicking the icon to the left when you have unread posts. Otherwise, there's no way to do it on the Threads tab.

If you want to be brought to the first unread post when you click the title, then you have to be on the 'Activity' tab, not the 'Threads' tab.

I get what your saying, and I know clicking title gets you to the first post/page. I click the unread posts button on top left and if theres 30 unread posts, I used to get sent to first new post, now I get sent to last post in thread...

Edit> Seems to be working fine now. Clicking the unread posts button now sends me to actual first new post as per usual.

Well, guess its not fixed after all, it happens randomly. Sometimes clicking the unread posts button sends me to first newest post, other times I get sent to last post in thread, its very random.

Then why not just use the Activity tab instead?

I thought the point of the Bugs and Technical Issues section was where I came to submit a "Bug or Technical Issue" I find so that it can be fixed/resolved, not to find ways to work around them. rolleyes.gif

Sure, I can use activity for now, but it would be nice to help get issues fixed when they are found, hence why I'm posting.

All I'm really trying to do is show you that you might prefer the Activity tab. You no longer have to click a small icon just to go to the first unread. You get a nice long text link. You also never have to refresh the page. It updates automatically every 30 seconds. Each text link (the title) always brings you to the first unread which is always the last post made if there are no new posts. You can keep it open in a separate tab and it will always be updated without you having to touch it.

So, I'm really just wondering why you prefer the Threads tab.

I just got used to doing it one way, and so I continue to just click on the notification for updates to my subs, its why the feature is there. So if a part of the process has a flaw, I feel its worth posting to see if it can help the site not have bugs is all.

TLDR; Habit.

I'm just asking... I don't need to keep having that explained to me.

Try the Activity tab for a while. See what you think.
